<p>An electric motor, in particular a permanent-magnet-excited DC motor, is proposed which is provided with a device for detecting the rotor position, the speed of revolution and/or the rotation direction, which device has at least one element (20), which is sensitive to magnetic fields and is fitted on the pole tube (10) of the motor, for detecting fluctuations in the magnetic flux as a function of the rotor position. Electronic means (21) are used to evaluate the signals from this element (20) which is sensitive to magnetic fields. If the electric motor is designed as a four-pole motor in which two opposite poles have permanent magnets (14, 15) between which two opposite poles, formed by pole shoes (16, 17), are arranged, the element (20) which is sensitive to magnetic fields is arranged, preferably centrally, on one of the pole shoes (16). The centre of the pole shoe (16) is the location which is least affected by stray flux and the armature transverse field and is located very close to the armature teeth of the rotor (11) so that a minimal interference signal can be produced by the armature transverse field, with a maximal useful signal. <IMAGE></p> |
