The spray shield has a flexible screen e.g. hood (1) or disc with a mounting (2) held on the spray pipe (3) by clamp jaws (2a). The hood can be formed from a single sheet made into an e.g. conical shape after mounting on the pipe by bending and holding the overlapping edges by e.g. screws (1a,1b). The hood can be made from two half-shells or more part-shells. The mounting can be moved along the pipe without requiring demounting of the spray jet (6).
