Vehicle bench seat arrangement

The bench seat arrangement in a vehicle has the back support (3) fitted with an armrest (6) which folds down. Only during or at the end of the fold out process does the adjacent support (7) move outwards. The outwards movement of the support is achieved inherently due to the coupling and action of the armrest being dropped. The support automatically returns to the original position as the armrest is returned to its out of use position.
