HAIR-TINTING AGENTS.

The invention concerns hair-tinting agents based on natural, water-soluble dyes. The dyeing power and colour-fastness characteristics of such agents are improved by using as the dyeing agent a combination of (A) at least one natural, water-soluble dye and (B) at least one indoline derivative of formula (I), or a salt thereof, in a carrier which is preferably in the form of an emulsion or a gel. After allowing the dyeing agent to act for 10 to 40 minutes, excess dyeing agent is rinsed out of the hair and the hair dried in air.
