In the centre of a holder (5) at the end of the sleeving tube (2) adjacent to the steering wheel (1), a recess concentric with the column (4) is covered by a hinged support (14) carrying two switches (15, 16) and a spiral cable container (17) for signal transmission. The hinge is constituted by two hooks (6a) on the end of the support curved around bearing pins (6c) on the top of the holder. A screw (7a) works through a slotted hole (7c) in the other end of the support, into a threaded bore (7b) near the end of a tongue (8) on the holder.
