New magnetic or magnetisable reinforcing particles

Novel reinforcing particles, for prodn. of surfaces subject to wear and/or dynamic loads, consist of hard materials, and other carrier substances which are naturally magnetic or magnetisable alone or in alloy or mixed form. Pref. the materials and/or substances are metals, metal mixts., hard inorganic materials, oxide materials, (e.g. ferrites), intermetallic cpds. or ceramic materials. Also claimed are processes for prodn. of wear resistant surfaces, using the above reinforcing particles.
