The rod as a lattice facing (10) made up lengthways of single elements (12-15) at lattice modules which are combined to form a single facing product. The elements are made of different materials, specifically wood and wood substitutes. One element acts as connecting rod (11) to which the remaining elements are addressed and the rod (11) is made of glass, wood, metal, plastics or similar. Thus, in a five-element facing, the decorative elements (12, 13) are first pushed onto the glass etc. rod (11) in the centre before the two outermost elements (14, 15), typically using size at the respective joins. In a three-piece facing, the connected outer elements are each bevelled to stair rise angle. All elements are bonded to one another and rod to complete the facing.
