CAD device for metal shapes

The device contains a graphics definition device which defines to which plate and shaped piece a drawing to be produced relates, which is for entering data into it and for representing it on a drawing of the metal shape. An entry state setting device sets a defined state, including related data for the plates and shaped pieces. A component database recording device records the graphical data for at least one individual part to be mounted on the metal shape and the machining data for mounting holes. A component assembly device determines the mounting positions of one or more individual blocks on a drawing of the metal shape. A separate drawing is produced by a device which divides up the drawing of the metal shape according to the plates and each shaped piece and which produces a drawing of the plate or plates and of the shaped piece or pieces.
