<p>An excited light (2) is introduced into a slab type optical waveguide (1), among fluorescences excited by evanescent waves attributed to the excited light (2) a fluorescence emitted in a direction forming a predetermined angle to the excited light (2) is detected by a fluorescence detector (4), whereby excited light and fluorescence are separated spatially so as to reduce stray light, thus making it possible to simplify the configuration of an optical system.</p> |
