<p>Master cylinder comprising a body (4) having a bore (5) closed on one side by an end (6) and on the other by a piston (7) sliding in said bore and delimiting a pressure chamber (8) connected to at least one brake motor through an outlet (11) of said chamber and through a pressure duct (12), the chamber and the pressure duct together delimiting a work volume filled with a hydraulic fluid. According to the invention, the work volume (8, 12) is also partially delimited by a leakage device for selectively providing hydraulic fluid to the exterior of said work volume on impact. Such a master cylinder provides improved safety in the event of a head-on collision.</p> |
