Railway goods wagon with moving side covers for esp. timber transport

The goods wagon has a cover (1) consisting of a fixed longitudinal roof member with a narrow middle part (12) and hinged roof side members (7). Longitudinal rails (5) are fixed to the top corner ends of the side members. The side covers (3) hang from the slide horizontally along the rails to fold together in vertical folds. To open or close the wagon sides the side members are raised (S1) or lowered (S2). This can be done for each side independently by pref. hand powered drives (19,11). The covers are folded up and positioned along the rail to reveal the loading area.
