The frame is of flexible, flat material. It has a stable, rear support structure (10) with two opposite edge rails (12), bounding the width dimension, at the structure sides. They have facing, open profiled recesses. A bendable, flexible support plate (14) is covered by a flexible, transparent cover layer (18) of the same width. The support plate and cover layer, together with a sandwiched picture etc., are insertable into the profiled recesses of the edge rails in a slightly bent shape. When inserted, the support plate, picture, and transparent cover are positively supported in the frame.
