Magnetising device e.g. for electrical permanent magnet rotor machines

A device for magnetising a permanent magnet excited rotor (armature) (1) of an electrical machine, includes a magnetising element for acting on one or several permanent magnet elements (3, 3a) of the rotor (1). To provide a device with simplified structural design which allows the magnetic field lines to be precisely concentrated on an outlined surface region, the magnetising element is designed as a free-standing magnetic head (6, 6a) which extends entirely over one part of section of the periphery of the rotor.
