Machining module for vertical and horizontal machining centres

The machining module consists of a base body (1) and a bottom part (2) which is rotatably supported at the base body by a first axis (C). The rotation range of bottom part to base body is in the range of 0 to 180 deg. in two directions. The base body is connected to the machining centre by a toothing and is rotatable along a second axis (A). The bottom part carries a support for a tool which is driven by a tool spindle (3). Additionally the bottom part can be designed to be rotatably supported on a further axis (B). A device for drive and moving of the tool and the base body and the bottom part allows the varied adjustment of the module in any plane. All motions of the base body and the bottom part and the tool are automatically controllable.
