In a device for pneumatic flotation, the gas-treated sediment is conducted via a pipe (16) into the bottom region of the separation cell (10) to a pressure build-up nozzle (19), which as a result of its reduction in cross-section builds up a defined pressure in the gas-treated sediment, which leads to a reduction in size of the gas bubbles.
