A ladder hinge includes a pivot 2, a first base plate 1 mounted on the pivot 2 and connected to a first side rail section of one side rail of a ladder. A second base plate 10 is also mounted on the pivot 2 and is connected to a second side rail section of the side rail. A spring-supported lever 3 is pivotally connected to the pivot 2. A lock bolt 4 is pivotally connected to one end of the lever 3 and passes through a hole 1402 in the second base plate 10 and is insertable in any one of a plurality of holes 142, 143, 144 in the first base plate 1 to hold the first and second base plates 1, 10 in the desired relative position. A locking lever 24 has a driving strip 241 which engages with a notch 41 of the lock bolt 4 to hold it in the engaged position. <IMAGE> |
