The method involves using a central server (10) to transmit (11) radio waves containing data concerning tariff zones for sending information. The radio waves are received by terminals (13,14) which are connected to the telephone network (15). The data are sent at regular intervals and contain the terminal address, destination application and the tariff in operation. The receiving facsimile machines use the information for programming itself. The external indicators are set, and when a transmission is indicated, the user indicates the require tariff. If the tariff is applicable the message is sent immediately, otherwise it is sent when the tariff becomes available. <IMAGE> |
