The air extractor assembly within a decomposition building is computer-controlled. The foul air is extracted through one or more collector pipes (1) linked to one or more suction modules (2) by means of a flexible hose (3). Each suction module (2) incorporates one or more extractor hoods (4). Each main collector pipe (1) has a throttle flap (6) at the transition to the flexible hose. The modules (2) are adjustable by means of lifting gear (7) and the main collector pipes (1) are linked to an air discharge ventilator.
