The neutralisation process involves adding scenting and neutralising agents to the airflow. The mixture of agents in liquid form is stored in a closed container(1) opposite the air flow. The mixture is supplied via the capillaries of at least one evaporating core body (5) from the container to the air flow zone. The evaporation takes place on a small-surface basis on the evaporation surfaces of at least one evaporating core body. The fluid level in the container is visible on a measuring scale. Different evaporating core bodies may be used to adapt the process for different purposes.
