The procedure consists of cutting out from the covering material a section in the form of an open torus with lips (12, 12') which are sewn together along their inner edge. The torus is then turned inside out to form two half torus sections one inside the other with the lips facing one another. The lips are sewn together, leaving a hole for turning the torus material back to its original side. The covering can be filled by placing it inside a mould and filling it with a foam material, or the restraint can be moulded in the traditional way.
