The distillative sepn. of material mixts. into their pure components comprises using a distn. column contg. complete or part packing of ordered or unordered sepn. elements. Between a boiler and a condenser, rising steam and falling fluid come into intimate contact, and through the resulting mass transfer the lower boiling components are obtd. in the condenser and the higher boiling ones in the column reboiler. In the column, an uneven distribution of the liq. scrubbing density is aimed for across the column cross section. Also claimed is a device to carry out the above process comprising a distn. column with liq. collectors and redistribution devices. According to the desired liq. scrubbing density in the core as well as the wall region of the column, the arrangement of the outflow openings and/or their dia. are optimised.
