Typographic printing plate and its use for the impression of non-absorbent hard surfaces.

For printing on hard printing substances formed by a non-absorbent material, in particular for printing on glass sheets (18), it is proposed to use a flexographic process. For this purpose, a printing plate (3) is used which is made from a sheet of photopolymer which has a screened printing image comprising a fine screen superimposed on the base screen or pattern screen. The printing plate (3) consists of a stabilisation sheet (30) and of the photopolymer layer (31) equipped with the screen. A plate (33), made of a foamed (expanded) substance, is inserted between the printing plate (3) and the body of the plate cylinder (4). The invention enables, when printing on non-absorbent hard surfaces, the ink to be uniformly and more evenly transferred into each particular printing point.
