PURPOSE:To facilitate delicate adjustment of oscillating motion between a lower thigh member and a knee joint member by providing an elastically deformable tube connected to inlet and outlet ports of a fluid pressure cylinder to deform the tube elastically for choking adjustment in an artificial leg in which the motion of the lower high member during walking is controlled with the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A knee joint member 4 is provided at an upper part of a lower thigh member 12 while the head side of a fluid pressure cylinder 34 is pivoted below the inside of the lower thigh member 12 and the tip part of a piston rod 38 is pivoted on the knee joint member 14. A connection is made with a elastically deformable tube 62 for communication of an outlet port 54 with an inlet port 60 formed respectively on the hed side and on the rod side of the cylinder 34 and a part of the tube 62 is deformed elastically to accomplish a choking adjustment, that is, a delicate adjustment of oscillating motion between the lower thigh member and the knee joint member. A choking adjustment member is so arranged as to press the tip 74a of an adjusting screw 74 onto the tube 62 or release the pressing thereof by screwing in or out the adjusting screw 74 as adjusting means. |
