PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus for evaluating the thermal insulation performance of a thermally insulated vacuum vessel easily and conveniently without causing any deterioration in the working environment. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus for evaluating the thermal insulation performance comprises a hammer 3 for hitting the outer tubular side face of a flat bottom thermally insulated metal vessel 7, a microphone 4 for converting the hitting sound of the hammer 3 into an electric signal, and a neuro-network 6 for receiving the electric signal from the microphone 4 with and comparing the damping pattern or the tonal pattern thereof with a known pattern. |
