PURPOSE:To enable a truck of an automatic transfer apparatus to smoothly travel between a riding cage and a building by providing a cage sinking amount calculating device for prospectively calculating the cage sinking amount on the basis of a value of a load measured by a weight detector to correct the height of a floor surface of a riding cage according to a command from the calculating device. CONSTITUTION:A weight detector 12 is provided in an elevator shaft or riding cage 4 to measure a load applied to a riding cage when a truck 1 travels between the riding cage 4 and a building 15. The cage sinking amount is prospectively calculated by a cage sinking amount calculating device 13 on the basis of the load value measured by the weight detector 12. The height of a floor surface of the riding cage 4 is corrected according to a command from the cage sinking amount calculating device 13, so that the truck 1 of an automatic transfer apparatus can smoothly travel between the riding cage 4 and the building 15. |
