PURPOSE:To make an operator able to execute recovery processing and to obtain an excellent quality image by displaying the fact that the dust removing capacity of a dust removing filter is made smaller than a set value on a display means, when it occurs. CONSTITUTION:At the time of actuating the device, a discharge means 6 is actuated to discharge air including dust mixed with toner in the device main body 1 outside by a louver 4 on the opening part of the top end of an air exhausting path 3 and the dust incorporated in air flow is removed by the dust removing filter 7. On the other hand, the dust removing filter 7 is irradiated with light from a light emitting means 8, the quantity of the light is increased or decreased in accordance with the quantity of the dust removed by the filter 7 and the quantity of the light reaching a light receiving means 9 is set as the dust removing capacity. When the dust removing capacity becomes smaller than a set threshold, the fact is displayed by the display means. When it becomes clear that the dust removing capacity becomes smaller than the set value, the filter 7 is removed from a discharge part 2 to be cleaned, or a new dust removing filter 7 is fitted. |
