ANIMATION IMAGE CODER AND DECODER

摘要

PURPOSE:To generate an adaptive interpolation image at decoding and local refresh in the coding state respectively. CONSTITUTION:A receiver receiving coding data of a animation image is provided with a code error detection means 12 detecting the code error in the unit of MB. When a code error is detected, an area discrimination means 14 discriminates the area of the MB and a missing MB is replaced or interpolated by an interpolation image generating means 15 according to the discrimination result. Simultaneously the code error is informed and the coding mode after the MB located in the same space just after the frame is switched into an in-frame coding mode (INTRA mode) under the control of a coding control means 22.
