PURPOSE:To provide a waist holder for communication equipment with which a communication equipment is surely held, easily attached/detached at the time of use and can be prevented from falling down and no dust is residual. CONSTITUTION:A metal fitting 2 to be fitted to a waist belt K is provided on a back wall surface 1a of a case 1 for the holder. A core shaft 3 is spread between the back wall surface 1a of the case 1 and its front wall surface, the winding core base end of a spiral spring 4 is fixed at this core shaft 3, a winding outer end is fixed inside a freely rotary takeup drum 5 surrounding the spiral spring 4 and further, a base end 6b of a hanging strap 6 for a prescribed length fitting a clamping means 7 for linking the bottom of the communication equipment to a top end 6a is fixed to this takeup drum 5 so that the side of the top end 6a of the hanging strap 6 can be pulled out against the spring force of the spiral spring 4, taken up by its recovery force and energized. Then, a hanging part 8 equipped with a through hole 9 at its central part is provided at the intermediate position of the case 1, the hanging strap 6 is inserted through that through hole 9 and sunk down, and the communication equipment T is hung upside down.
