PURPOSE:To improve the beauty of an air conditioner and to interrupt the invasion of rainy water, dusts from the mounting hole of a component provided on the back surface or a vent opening by providing a decorative panel at the exposed part of the conditioner at its back surface side. CONSTITUTION:The exposed part of the wall 11 of an air conditioner 100 at its back surface side is covered with a decorative panel 20 made of a weather resistant material. The panel 20 is fixed to an outer shell 6 by fittings via a sealing material 21 at the part in contact with the wall 11. Thus, its beauty is improved, and rainy water, dusts which tend to enter from the mounting hole of a component provided on the back surface of the conditioner, a vent opening are interrupted by the panel. As a result, the conditioner can be not only embedded and installed in the wall of a shelf but also embedded and installed in an outer wall 17. In this case, the attachment of a refrigerant tube 16 is facilitated. |
