PURPOSE:To stable use the upper nozzle without deteriorating the spalling resistance by improving the corrosion resistance in the upper nozzle brick for alumina carbon SN. CONSTITUTION:In the upper nozzle brick for an alumina carbon slide gate, 10-70-wt.% alumina magnesia spinel based raw material having the chemical composition consisting of, by weight, 35-75% Al2O3 and 25-65% MgO is used. This constitution greatly improves the corrosion resistance while keeping the spalling resistance, and improves the durability compared with the conventional upper nozzle brick for alumina carbon SN even in the practical use, and realizing the more stable use. |
