PURPOSE: To provide a sealing grommet requiring reduced seating force. CONSTITUTION: This sealing grommet has a substantially campanulate main body 16 with a closed end 17a and an open end 17. A central portion 22 is clamped to a cable 24, and a peripheral flange 30 is provided on the outer surface of the main body. The hollow space existing between the internal surface of the open end and the central portion 22 collapses during insertion thereby greatly reducing the necessary seating force. |
