<p>PURPOSE:To provide a battery driven computer capable of providing operation environment wherein the intention of an operator is reflected. CONSTITUTION:This computer has a power management unit (detecting means) which detects the quantity of electricity supplied from a battery, a setup button (setting means) 4 which sets a shift to a power-saving mode, and a CPU (control means) which judges whether or not the quantity of electricity detected by the power management unit is large enough to drive the computer when the shift to the power-saving mode is set and shifts to the power-saving mode when it is judged that the quantity of electricity is not sufficient. Thus the setup button 4 is provided to give the operator the right to select whether the shift to the power-saving mode is made or not, and the method of battery usage wherein the intention of the operator is reflected is obtained.</p> |
