PURPOSE:To provide a recording ink having excellent water-resistance, light resistance, friction resistance and set to touch of printed image, quickly drying after printing, storable over a long period at a high temperature or a low temperature without causing the agglomeration or precipitation of coloring material particles or depositing the solid component. CONSTITUTION:An ink containing water and 10-50wt.% (based on carbon black) of a polyvinyl pyrrolidone having an average molecular weight of 4,000-40,000 is applied to a copying paper at a rate of 1mg/cm<2>. The ink is quickly dryable to give a dried image having excellent water-resistance, friction resistance and set to touch. The stability of the pigment particles in the solvent is kept unchanged after the storage of the ink at 65 deg.C for 1 month. |
