<p>PURPOSE:To prevent obstacles from being caught in rear wheels by providing each sensing section which irradiates oscillatory waves in the side direction of a front and a rear section at each side of a vehicle, and actuates each switch when reflected oscillatory waves are sensed, and actuating a safety means for preventing dangers at the time of turning while being interlocked with aforesaid actuation. CONSTITUTION:Sensing means 18 are provided for both sides of a vehicle 1. Each sensing means 18 is made up of a front sensing section 19 at the side surface front section of the vehicle 1, which irradiates oscillatory waves (infra-red rays and the like) A to the side direction, and senses its reflected oscillatory waves so as to actuate a front switch SW-3, and of a rear sensing section 21 which senses the reflected oscillatory waves of oscillatory waves B intersected with the oscillatory waves A so as to actuate a rear switch SW-4. And when a steering handle is rotated so as to be operated while the vehicle is being run, if irradiating beam from the sensing section 21 or 19 is intercepted by obstacles such as a man and the like so as to allow the switch SW-3 or SW-4 to be turned on, a solenoid SOL-1 is energized, an electromagnetic valve is thereby changed over, and the brake is applied to the front wheels, so that the vehicle 1 is thereby stopped.</p> |
