发明名称 INSPECTION METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FLAW ON SURFACE OF STEEL PIECE
摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately detect the surface flaw of a steel piece in a short time so as to improve the inspection efficiency by detecting in advance the warping and/or uneven deformation from the whole body of the steel piece by scanning and taking the picture of the surface of the steel piece with a fixed-focus camera which is moved in accordance with the stored profile of the steel piece. CONSTITUTION:An inspection head 9 is returned to its origin, and a steel piece 50 is sent to the region of the head 9 on a conveyor and the distance between the head 9 and the steel piece 50 is measured with an attached laser displacement gauge while a running truck 5 and the head 9 which moves in the tack 5 are driven. The planar shape and surface profile of the scanned steel piece 50 are inputted to a controlling arithmetic system for storage. Then the truck 5 and head 9 are driven so that they can be moved in the same order and along the same locus as those when the steel piece 50 is scanned in its length direction. At the same time, the picture of the surface of the steel piece 50 is taken by constantly maintaining the distance between a surface defect detecting camera (fixed-focus camera) 13 and the steel piece 50 by moving an elevating/lowering frame 10 in the vertical direction. Then the presence/absence of a surface flaw is discriminated by processing the taken pictures. Therefore, the surface flaw of the billet can be detected quickly with high resolution.
