OPTICAL WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX TRANSMITTER

PURPOSE:To confirm the normality of routing of an optical wavelength without intermission of a user signal. CONSTITUTION:Routing information is multiplexed on a user signal by a routing information processing section 31 and an electrooptic conversion section 32 modulates it to obtain an optical signal OP. The optical signal OP with routing information multiplexed is sent to a transmission network via an optical wavelength multiplexer section 36. A passing optical wavelength received by an optical wavelength branch section 34 or an optical wavelength to be terminated is branched by an optical wavelength branch section 34 for each optical wavelength. The optical wavelength to be tested or the optical wavelength to be terminated in the passing optical wavelength is demodulated by a photoelectric conversion section 35 and the routing information in the demodulated signal is demultiplexed by a routing information demultiplexer section 37 and fed to a routing management section 30. The routing management section 30 confirms a path for the routing of the optical wavelength from the routing information.
