PURPOSE:To obtain such a castable refractory that enough work life is obtd. when the refractory is kneaded with water and cast, hardening of the refractory within a desired time is assured even at a low temp. in winter season, and a product having low porosity and high strength is obtd. CONSTITUTION:This refractory material is produced by compounding 1-8wt.% alumina cement having 100-1mum particle size and/or magnesia having 100-1mum particle size, 1-10wt.% silica superfine powder having 5-0.01mum particle size with pH controlled to 3.5 to 8.5, and the balance refractory powder having controlled particle size, and adding a deflocculant by 0.01-0.3wt.% of the compounded material. |
