PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is capable of uniformly developing highlight parts and is less fluctuated in density by a T/C ratio by setting a biasing means so as to satisfy the specific relations. CONSTITUTION:The biasing means is so set as to satisfy the relations of the equations. In the equations, V1 denotes the voltage (V) which imparts the force from an image carrying member toward a developer carrying member on toners; T1 denotes the time (sea) when the voltage V1 lasts; V2 denotes the voltage (V) which imparts the force from the developer carrying member toward the image carrying member on the toners; T2 denotes the time (sec) when the voltage V2 lasts; T3 denotes the time (sec) when the voltage V3;(V1+V2)/2 lasts; (d) denotes the distance (m) between the image carrying member and the developer carrying member. The force to turn back the toners onto a sleeve is applied on the toners in the non-image parts and the force to attract the toners onto the drum is applied on the toners of the image parts including the parts corresponding to the highlight parts when the voltage V3 corresponding to the DC bias taking the togging of the non-image parts into consideration is applied for the T3 second. |
