PURPOSE:To provide an insulated wire which is excellent in mechanical strength, and which is also excellent in chemical resistance by forming an insulation layer of thermoplastic polyurethane resin to which fluorine is added. CONSTITUTION:In an insulated wire provided with an insulation layer 2 on a conductor 1, the insulation layer 2 is formed of thermoplastic polyurethane resin to which fluorine is added. The ratio of fluorine in molecules in the thermoplastic polyurethane resin is 1-40weight%. By thus adding fluorine to the thermoplastic polyurethane resin, resistance to alcohol-based polar chemicals is improved by fluorine in the resin, thereby the insulated wire in which conventional generation of crazing, cracking, or swelling at the time of getting in contact with the alcohol-based chemicals is restricted to achieve excellent chemical resistance can be provided. |
