TRANSPARENT POLYPROPYLENE RESIN SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent polypropylene resin sheet of very excellent transparency by mixing a polypropylene polymer with a specified antioxidant and a nucleator and extruding the resulting mixture through a T die in a specified manner. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising 100 pts.wt. resin component based on a polypropylene polymer, 0.01-0.5 pt.wt. organic phosphite compound antioxidant and 0.02-1.0 pt.wt. nucleator is extruded through a T-die into a film-like melt, and this melt is pressed between the cast roll and an endless belt formed in an arc along the roll to obtain a resin sheet satisfying the following requirements: (a) a thickness of 0.05-2.0mm, (b) a clarity of 65% or above, a haze of 15% or below, and (d) a bending rigidity of 8000-25000kgf/cm<2>.
