摘要 PURPOSE:To execute low-cost and proper control without using a high-cost atmosphere pressure sensor by a method wherein by integrating an acceleration speed in a vertical direction one time, a change speed in a vertical direction is calculated and a gear shift pattern is selected by deciding it based on the magnitude of the speed change whether a vehicle runs on a ground between mountains or a flat ground. CONSTITUTION:The gear shift of an automatic transmission body 4 coupled to an engine 3 is controlled by a control unit 5 through a hydraulic device. In this case, the automatic transmission body 4 is provided at least a vertical acceleration sensor 1 to detect acceleration in a vertical direction of a vehicle. Meanwhile, the control unit 5 is provided with a memory to respectively store gear shift patterns for a ground between mountains and a flat ground. In the control unit 5, after acceleration in a vertical direction is integrated one time, a change speed in a vertical direction is calculated and based on the magnitude of the change speed, each gear shift pattern is selected. Thereafter, a selected gear shift signal is outputted to each of the solenoid 10 and the line pressure solenoid 11 of a hydraulic device.
