PURPOSE:To provide a catheter which can be used in such a way that the tip of its body may be prevented from touching blood vessels and blood vessels may not be subjected to spasm shrinkage when the catheter is inserted into any vessel of a human body and made to proceed through blood vessels following a blood flow. CONSTITUTION:A baloon 25 is attached to the total head 11a white having none of its part unattached thereto without avoiding the holes on the peripheral side part of the head part of a catheter body 11, and made expand forward from the head 11a, by making blood flow in from the opening 12 of the head 11a of the catheter body 11 to measure the blood pressure without drilling any hole for receiving pressure in the peripheral side part of the head part of the catheter body 11. Thereby, the head part 11a of the catheter body 11 can be prevented from projecting forward beyond the baloons 25. |
