PURPOSE: To secure safety of a medical apparatus by providing the device with a hollow handle to surround the sharp end part of a needle and a means to fix the needle to the handle in a safety device for protecting an apparatus part existing in a patient's body so as not to be in contact with a person after inserting the medical apparatus such as a cannula, etc. into a patient's body. CONSTITUTION: A hollow needle 70 to puncture a patient and to guide and carry a medical apparatus to a proper point in a patient's body has a shaft with a sharp end part 73. A safety device is equipped with a hollow handle (handle housing) 20 to surround the sharp end part 73 of the hollow needle 70 so as not to be in contact with a person's finger. Also a lock slider/trigger 50 to fix a shaft to the handle 20 in a condition the sharp end part 73 is protruded from the handle 20, a carriage 60 and a spring 80 to release the fix and to make the sharp end part 73 retreat into the handle 20 so as not to reach a person's finger, and a dash pot element for absorbing a part of energy in the retreat. |
