PURPOSE:To preset an optimum reception frequency to a reception place automatically in the short-wave receiver. CONSTITUTION:The synthesizer system is adopted for the short-wave receiver. The receiver is provided with a 1st table JSTBL having time difference data and data for a name of an area corresponding to the time difference and with a 2nd table FRTBL having data N of a reception frequency capable of being received by each of plural zones being divisions of a service area of a short- wave broadcast, with an LCD display device 52 displaying a time counted by a clock circuit 44 and the name of an area in the 1st table JSTBL. The time displayed on the display device 52 is corrected by a current time by referencing the 1st table JSTBL. Then a reception frequency f12 in a zone including an area for the current time displayed on the display device 52 among the plural zones is preset by referencing the 2nd table FRTBL according to the data used for the correction. |
