PURPOSE:To facilitate the insertion and drawing of a multi-contact board by rotating the base with an engaging projection provided on a housing engaged with one end of the base and formed on one end of an insulator as a supporting point, and providing a rotatable lever on the other end. CONSTITUTION:When a board 4 is installed to a connector 3, a lever 32 is first opened outward, the upper and lower edges on one end side of the substrate obliquely inserted to the guide groove 34b of a housing 34 are engaged with an engaging projection 34a and an opening part 34e. The base is then rotated downward to the left with the engaging part with the engaging projection 34a where the other end side of the base is pressed down as a supporting point, the top end part is inserted into a long groove 31a provided on an insulator 31, and each contact 4a makes contact with the corresponding contact 33. Since the both successively make contact to each other from the right end side at that time, the inserting force is reduced. The pressing-down part on the lower end side of the lever 32 makes contact with the base lower edge part to rotate the lever inward, and the base upper edge is engaged with the engaging part on the upper end side, and locked. The lever is rotated outward to the left to perform the detaching operation. |
