MEDIUM CONNECTOR INTERFACE FOR COMMUNICATION CARD OF PCMCIA STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To provide a communication card which can be electrically fitted in a conductive state to a laptop computer through which an opening having a size and shape for housing a physical/electrical medium connector is formed. CONSTITUTION: A medium connector is directly inserted into an opening 86 in a communication card 70, and the one side of the medium connector is electrically in a conductive state with plural contact wires fixed in the opening 86. The communication card 70 is divided into a drawable access part 72 and a residual part 74. Direct access to the drawable access part 72 can be performed when it is pulled out from a computer housing. The drawable access part 72 of the communication card 70 can be inserted again into the computer housing so as to be held inside when it is not used.
