The temperature change indicator includes a reservoir (1) linked to a receptacle (2) by means of a reduced section pipe (3). Both parts may be made from transparent plastic, with an overall height of 35 mm and a diameter of 16 mm. The link pipe may be made of stainless steel with a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 30 mm. The reservoir is initially filled with water which is allowed to freeze. When the device is placed e.g. at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the ice begins to melt after about 4 minutes, the water flowing into the receptacle, drop by drop. The rate of flow depends on the actual ambient temperature, and is stopped if the temperature falls below freezing again.
