<p>A rigid canteen, particularly for sports use, that includes a metal vessel (2) with a substantially cylindrical elongated body (3) that is closed by a bottom (4) at one end and is provided, at the opposite end, with a tapering portion or neck (5) on which a means (6) for closing the vessel is fixed. The vessel (2) has thin walls with a substantially uniform thickness of 0.3 to 1 mm. The vessel is furthermore of the type normally used for spray cans and is lightweight and strong. A second aspect of the invention relates to a method for manufacturing canteens of the above described type with a high quality standard at relatively low cost.</p> |
