Preset recording method for VTR

A scheme for programming video recorders links the transmission signals from telecasting stations to the receiving channels and stores the time differences between the place in which the VCR is being used and those countries or regions from which television transmissions are required. When a foreign programme or teletext is required, the VCR compares the time-difference of the country of origin with that of the site of the video recorder and switches on the VCR when the correct time is reached. The example shows a plan in which the television stations in column two are linked to time differences as shown in column five, where England is the site of the VCR.
