Fire-proofing agent is non-toxic

Mfr. of a fire-proofing agent for paper, wood or textiles is new. The agent has a water-soluble base which a pH value of 6(+/-1). As a result, it is outside the scope of toxic substances legislation. The aq. soln. consists of boiled water, which is cooled to normal temperature and in which ammonium salts (NH4)2SO4 are dissolved. The finished product can be used as an additive in other water-soluble products, e.g. adhesives.
